This past fall, as part of my "Quarter-Life Crisis," I got a tattoo. Not something i thought i would ever really do. I went to a couple different shops around town and ended up going with Broken Dagger Tattoo Parlor and worked with Tyson. Broken Dagger doesn't have the "traditional" cubicle style set up that I've seen in the past, which i thought was cool. The shop is full of eclectic decor, plenty of things to look at if you're there for a while. The rest of the staff was pleasant each time i went in and overall the shop looked tidy, organized and inviting.
I brought in 6 pages of references including images of dreamcatcher tattoos & paintings, and traditional headdresses and feathers and left them with tyson. I came back a week later and this is the design he came up with. we had talked a little bit about a couple colors i wanted but not much, i kind of left it up to him. I had no idea what to expect with the experience. I am THRILLED with the way it turned out. i love the work that tyson did, i gave him very little direction and i couldn't be happier with my permanent piece of art. (don't let the dates fool you, it was healed in the "proper" amount of time with no problems. i just never took another picture)
If i ever decide to get another tattoo Broken Dagger and Tyson are on the top of my list.
