  • Disappointing experience. My mom and I came in this morning after making an appointment. I was looking for a wedding dress, and my mom was looking for a mother of the bride dress. Four deal-breakers: 1. They misled me on the price. I went in the night before to make sure they had a particular dress I wanted. A woman on staff (who was great!) walked me over to the dress and explained that there was a sale, which would bring the price down $100. I was excited and booked an appointment for the next morning. I tried on the dress, loved it, but was then told that there was no sale. (I guess it ended a week ago??) Obviously disappointing. 2. Our consultant was dividing her time between us and other customers. She was doing an okay job of it, but then she abandoned us for at least 15 minutes straight. The crazy thing is that she left right after my mom and I found dresses that we loved, so if she had stayed, she may have made a sale or two...but after she left, the momentum went out of us, and we decided to wait on it. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if we're going to be left alone for half of it? 3. I found a dress that I mostly loved, but the sleeves were really constraining. I could barely lift my arms, which would have made it difficult to dance at the wedding. She basically told me that nothing could be done (and maybe that's true). Then she said something like, "We all like being comfortable, but you need to accept being uncomfortable on your wedding day." Okay...But I need to be able to move my arms!! 4. The consultant showed very little initiative. My mom and I both picked out two dresses ourselves, and the consultant basically just opened the door to the dressing room. When dresses weren't working, she didn't provide other suggestions. She didn't seem to care very much about making a sale, which was surprising. I close by saying that our consultant *was* friendly and seemed nice. She just didn't do a great job with us.
