Chose Windsor for a Friday night date night and left full but not overly impressed. The ambiance is very hip and overall the place has a good vibe. However, despite the creative menu and potential the food did not live up to expectations.
We waited for almost a full hour to seated and during that time a hostess served us a cocktail from the menu. I had a bourbon grapefruit cocktail and my boyfriend had an interesting chai flavored whiskey drink. Both were very good. For starters we had the deviled egg dip and chips which I will say was quite good and filling. Where it fell short was with the crab cake sandwich. As a disclaimer having spent some time in the Baltimore/DC area which is notorious for oversized delicious crab cakes I have certain expectations. Unfortunately this sandwich fell far short from those expectations but it was a good try.
The portions are huge, the service was friendly but overall there is lack in taste for what the creative menu claims to offer.
