  • Now this was an amazing experience. I vista Scottsdale multiple times a year and I always make time for a massage and/or facial. On my last trip to Scottsdale, my regular day spa could not fit me in, so my mom and I went in search of a new spot... we found Mozaik! And we couldn't be more thrilled. The spa is in an unassuming location, but it's HUGE! Impressively so. Our appointment was the third week of March and the owners had only recently moved in, so things were still a little "getting moved in", but no less impressive. The owners are a husband and wife couple and were super nice and accommodating; very warm and welcoming and so eager to make us happy, but not overly eager and not pushy. I had a 90 munte massage with Christina who is AAAAAHHHHMAYZING! I have some sensitivities in my IT band areas and some looming tender spots as a result of working out but not stretching. Christina knew just how to work my most tender areas giving me relief and she didn't hurt me. Most deep tissue massages go so deep and are so painful, it's impossible to relax and it takes a couple days to recover from the massage itself. But not with Christina; she was able to work my muscles just enough and I was so relaxed. It was incredible. Then I moved in to the facial with Johnna. OH MY GAWD! First of all, her skin is pristine. YES PLEASE! She asked me about my skin care concerns which are early signs of aging (some fine lines) and sun damage. I knew I was going to get the microdermabrasion but I was asking her whether she recommended a peel or dermaplaning to achieve the results I was working toward. We talked through the options and I went for dermaplaining. Afterward she gave me a facial (using my favorite Eminence products) and I was in facial heaven. My skin was the best it had looked in quite a while. I was glowing and my skins was as soft as newborn baby. Johnna periodically checked in with me during the treatments and made sure I was comfortable and that she was explaining what she was doing and why. At the end of everything, I met up with my mom in the bathroom so we could change and we just kept going on and on about how great we felt and how much we loved the way our skin looked. I may not be easily impressed, but my mom is definitely not! We were both on a spa-day high! There were no high pressure sales of products when we checked out, which made me run over and buy the serums Johnna used on me. The husband owner (Robert, I think?) was so gracious in inviting us back and telling us a little about their business, but not oversharing. He was appreciative that we were there and simply asked us to spread the word. I think this place has a bright future... something tells me they don't need us to spread the word. I'll be heading back to Arizona in about a month or so... guess where I'll be going?
