I rented a car in early September and had declined insurance coverage as I had my own. Lo and behold, when I got my cc statement today, the charge was $300 more than what I expected! When I called this location, I was told the extra charges were for insurance?! Then when I asked to see a copy of my agreement, the lady said she sent it to me and proceeded to hang up. the copy that she sent was simply a summary of the charges and not my agreement. Just called customer service and opened a case, so we'll see how it's resolved.
Btw, when I was here, they ran out of cars. I was fortunate enough to get the last car remaining, but getting the car took almost an hour. Worst experience ever!
Just read on the internet about how many people have been scammed by Dollar/Thrifty's insurance coverage charges. Buyer Beware!
