  • I was pretty much blown away by this awesome place. I live in Chicago, and the kennel options are either way overpriced, or cold and bare-bones. I was SO happy to find Camp K9 when my husband and I decided to go to Madison for the weekend. We wanted the pups in the same city as us, but I was nervous to start the kennel search because, quite frankly, I'm a little overprotective of my dogs and can't have a good time unless I know they're in good hands. And from the moment we dropped them off, I didn't worry a bit. Camp K9 is beautiful, spacious, and happy. And, amazingly, when you walk in the door, all the dogs are QUIET. That's how you know they're doing something right! They have several options for lodging, from a more basic stay which is still pretty nice compared to other places I've seen, to a Bed and Biscuit option which is luxury all the way. All of the options are reasonably priced, in my opinion, but to be fair I'm not really sure what the Madison market is like. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. When we picked them up, they detailed some nuances about Arthur and Henry's personalities that they couldn't have known unless they spent some serious time with them. And play times three times a day! In my world, that's unheard of unless you are paying extra for a la carte options. The pups were relaxed and happy when we picked them up - I could just tell they had a nice time. That is worth its weight in gold to me. I love love love Camp K9, and would recommend it to absolutely anyone.
