| - After following their facebook page for a while, I decided to attend their Interfaith Thanksgiving service to see this faith community in action. What a beautiful gathering it was! The community is very welcoming and friendly, and the service itself consisted of the enthusiastic participation of people from Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Mormon, Baha'i, Catholic and Protestant traditions, all gathered in diversity and gratitude. There were traditional as well as contemporary songs and music (one of the musicians was the lively Pastor David who plays the soprano sax). After the gathering, people went to the outside corridors to buy and partake of the delightful sweets at the program that the church was hosting that day: the Syrian Sweets & Crafts Exchange, which helps generate income for Syrian families and introduces them to the wider community. This welcoming, dynamic church truly opens hearts, opens minds, and opens doors.
