| - Continuing with my Indie Coffee Passport crawl...
I'm so glad I found this place, I definitely wouldn't have come across it if it weren't for the passport as it is in a somewhat random location (although good if you are visiting the Allan Gardens or the Phoenix or Winchester Theatre). This place makes me happy! Everything, right down to the mugs and bathroom decor, is done in robin egg/Tiffany's blue and white. So aesthetically pleasing:) The colour scheme even matches the Indie Coffee Passport itself!
The barista was great - she had some good suggestions and let me take my time looking over the long list of teas. They were all out of the vanilla rooibos, so I tried the caramel apple instead. I will have to try their almond milk next time. The tea was great and smelled amazing. It's loose leaf tea and they have this strainer thing that fits inside the mug, so you can let it steep and cover it with a lid. When it's ready, you take out the strainer and put it on the lid.
The homemade vegan treats looked super-yummy but I wasn't that hungry. But I saw lots of other people that seemed to be really enjoying them!
They have a shelf of books, magazines, and a few board games, like Scrabble. Music playing on my visit was Sia.
The place was quite busy when I went, so I gave up my table once it got full. It was a mix of university students studying on their laptops, stroller-toting moms, and even a couple Japanese tourists who were happily snapping photos of this gorgeous space.
