I wasn't the one being treated, it was my mom. We visited the ER on 4/24/18. We checked in at 3:45 and weren't discharged until 9:45 pm. My mom wasn't even called back to a room until 9:00 pm and that was after us asking multiple times for a status. They ran 6 different expensive test and took forever in between. The staff never gave an update to us, nor the status of the labs, we had to continually keep asking. The average ER wait time was not the 12-30 minutes it stated, it's extremely long. The RN (Caucasian) checking in patients was extremely rude and the security guard (Caucasian) that was on shift also. The security guard even yelled at an African America lady that had been waiting for hours, and even threatened to throw her out. The security guard was confrontational and arrogant. There was one security guards wife that came into the ER with her baby, and they were in and out and treated in under an hour. They care more about their employees cases than helping an ER full of patients. I saw multiple nurses on their cell phones when they could be assisting patients. Worst ER experience ever for my mom and I.
