| - *Addition*
Talked to the Gold Member Manager who owned the mistake, was very apologetic, and I'd everything in his power to make things right. I was actually very pleased until I went to drop the car off and had even more issues such as: the car not checking out properly so I had to go stand in line for 30 minutes. The clerk then accusing me of lying and saying I was traveling on business and using my company discount when it was clearly marked as a leisure trip. Trying to get me to pay extra fees that got waived when I asked for a manager, etc. Added one star for the Gold Member Manager trying his hardest, but the checkout showed how unreliable this location is. Make the Gold Member Manager that called me the General Manager and I will try it again... until then, no more for me.
*End addition*
I will update this with further details later, but with the little time I have I would like to voice my concerns. There are multiple other reviews about shady "upgrades" taking place, and this happened to me tonight. I've also seen reviews on other websites about this location and their "upgrades". I love all of their other locations, but I've always had bad experiences at this one. Renter beware, they will try to up-sell you so much you'll think you're buying the car.
If they say something isn't available, use their website or app to check online. If they're giving you an "upgrade" for "only ____ more", look online first. For example, my car was $200. I didn't like it but they could upgrade me for ONLY $80. I stupidly fell for it because it was the "only other car they had". I got home and looked online, 1. The car was listed for $200 online... meaning I got taken for $80. 2. There were plenty of other vehicles available for less than the $200 my first car cost me.
Sad day when companies care about dollar amounts more than customers
