Seamless check-in by a cordial (though not overly friendly) front desk clerk...I arrived in the late evening after a long flight and rental car ordeal. She got the job done, but I really didn't feel all that special or welcomed....she explained none of the little coupon cards she gave me with my room key, and only told me about wifi when I asked. She did mention that there were stairs...about 20 steps she said (I later counted and there are exactly 20 steps!). She tried to give directions via a paper map to self parking and then walking through outdoor hallways to my building, but of course, I got lost and just winged it...finally made it to my room on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool...nice!
Love the decor and vibe of the whole hotel...it's got the mod, mid-century feel but updated with modern bathrooms and air conditioning (thank goodness).
Room-
Positives- love the color accents of orange, turquoise and lime green. Also really liked the "mood" light near the bathtub...it made for a great nightlight that wasn't too harsh on sleepy eyes. Love the balcony overlooking the pool.
Negatives:Lots of little bugs flying around and landing on the white sheets...probably due to the balcony doors. The room safe didn't work. There was no fridge, only the fridge with the items to be sold and an ice bucket.
