rev:text	At the recommendations of many friends, I finally decide to hop on the Porter Airline bandwagon only to want to drop off before I even arrived to the airport. Outgoing flight: New York - Toronto - Nov. 24th @ 6:30 pm Incoming phone call: Office in SoHo, NYC - Nov. 24th @ 2:15 pm Porter Representative: Ms. Ng, I'm calling to inform you that your 6:30 pm flight to Toronto has been canceled due to the foggy weather. But I'm pleased to tell you we've put you on another flight.. at 4 pm. Me: I'm sorry, what time did you say my flight was at? PR: 4 pm today. Me: You do realize that I should be checking in right about now. PR: Well, preferably, yes. Me: I don't think I'll be able to catch the 4 pm flight out seeing that I'm still at work and you've only just told me my flight was canceled. PR: We will do our best to hold the plane for you but I cannot guarantee anything at this point. I was left speechless. There are pros to this airline, however. The free goodies at the cafe lounge; plus the food they serve, which wasn't half bad, en route; in-air service was great; convenient; and the comfy chairs with seemingly more leg room than other airlines. My only qualm, really, is the timing or lack thereof, of my flights. On both occasions, to and from Toronto, my flight was either delayed (due in part of the weather); but also, because the airline itself is quite small, I fully understand their need to fill seats by moving people around. Even still, traveling can be stressful enough that I'd rather not play musical chairs. I'm all for second chances but my flight to Toronto during Christmas will not be with Porter.
