| - I don't know why the other reviews aren't highlighted, because they are pretty spot on. This preschool is not wonderful. There are about 3 teachers that seem to know what they are doing and the rest are underpaid babysitters (refer to reviews on Glassdoor if you want an employee perspective). If your child has any type of special need, this is not the school for you. They treat the kids as numbers, not individuals, and the director seems to have no skills, strategies, or knowledge of working with children beyond what the 'state standards' are telling her to do. It was very clear that they do not want, nor have the skills to accommodate anything less than the perfect child who follows the guidelines that state and early childhood standards have set forth as the teaching model for children. As an educator with 10+ years working in the classroom, teaching children of all ages, I can tell you that a one size fits all strategy does not work for all kids, no matter what your book says. The classrooms are a chaotic, dirty mess hidden under the guise of 'learning centers' and the 'teachers' were not in control at all. I moved my child and he is thriving at another school- a school that understands how to not only teach the kids but hire teachers that understand the individuality of children, especially ones with special needs. They too follow the standards but understand that there needs to be variation in strategies for needs and abilities. I felt that my child was discriminated against in this school and it was clear they didn't want him there.
