  • UPDATE: The owner reached out to me to please come back and give them a second chance. I'm glad that we did. We decided to go for dinner this time and had a great experience. I made a reservation (even though we were going on a Wednesday night) just in case. Turns out we didn't need one, but the restaurant was pretty full by the time we left. Our food was magnificent. My husband and I both ordered the spinach, arugula, goat cheese salads and they were great. The dressing on them was the best part. The complimentary bread they bring to to table was also so good! For our entrees I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the trout and we both agreed that it was the best trout and salmon we've had in Charlotte. It was all so good! Our server was great and she was knowledgeable about the menu. For dessert I got the lemon tart to go. I wasn't super impressed with it, but it was sweet which is what I wanted. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, just maybe not on Sunday for brunch without a reservation. I can't actually describe the food seeing as how we never received service. The husband and I were just wanting to go to get a couple cups of coffee and some beignets as a nice Sunday treat. We got there and the wait was 40 minutes which made sense because it was Sunday at brunch. We asked if we could sit on the patio sooner and the hostess said that was an option. She sat us at a nice little patio table in the sun. We had menus and immediately were served a couple of waters. Perfect I thought to myself this is going to be a lovely morning. Well we waited about 15 minutes and no one had come to take our order. My husband went inside to make sure we had a server and the hostess said oh yes just one minute. Another 15 minutes and we were tired of waiting so we left. Get it together. The food that was coming out to everyone else on the patio looked awesome. So maybe try a weekday.
