Stopped by on a Sunday morning around 10:00. Things were busy, but not overly so, I took a seat at the counter and perused the menu. I decided on the flapjacks with bacon and two eggs on the side. My waitress put in the order and lickety-split it was back in maybe five minutes.
The flapjacks were decent. Nothing remarkable, but they were good. I was majorly disappointed that they only offered Country Crock. When I asked my waitress if they had any butter butter. She said no, only the spread. This got me thinking about what they were using to cook their food with. Eggs were good, but the bacon was a little on the chewy side.
I noticed on the menu that they had rice krispie bricks and I asked for one of those to go. Unfortunately, they don't sell those anymore. This begs the question, if a restaurant stops making a menu item, why make it available in the menu?
Service started out well, buit at the diner got busier it just evaporated.
I'll come back to try lunch, but I think there are too many better breakfast options in the CLT.
