| - Dishonesty business practice. I will never go back again.
Went there with my friends for dinner around 6:30 (just the beginning of peak dinner time). They already out of Uni. $27 for dinner ($6 more than lunch) they offer 3 more items, Uni been one of them. And that's one of the reason we visit here -- for the Uni.
All right, things happens, we understand. So we asked nicely if they could substitute uni with sweet shrimp (one of other 3 items they offer in dinner). To our surprise, the waitress said "no, the manager doesn't allow".
Then we asked to speak with manager and explained our point: if we pay for the dinner -- extra money for the extra stuffs, we should be served those items. If for any reason restaurant is out of certain items, then we should be offered equal/similar value substitute. The manager then told us that it was the owner's decision: once it's out, that's it. No substitute at all. They can not offer substitute every-time when they are out of uni, otherwise they will be out of sweet shrimp or other wanted items soon. (Really? 6:30 you already out of Uni? And sounds like it happens ALOT.)
Translation:"Bait and switch? Are You Kidding Me?! I won't even bother to offer customers replacement or substitute. Yet I'm still going to charge them FULL PRICE. Because... look, my restaurant is packed at night. Why should I care?"
Well, We do. And we are not going back. Evar!
