My mother in law took her truck to Firestone this morning to look at her tires - as we noticed there was a screw in her tire and she had a 200 mile trip to take back home. They already were pushing "You need 4 new tires" before even looking at the issue.
We left the vehicle there and got a call from "Joe" about 45 minutes later. He informed us that "the tire was going to need to be replaced, there was no way to fix it, it's $250 a tire and we don't have that size in stock so it's going to take a day or two" We immediately went and picked up the truck (after the search for the keys that they "misplaced") and took it to another tire store. They took a look at the tire, pulled the screw, and realized that it was much shorter than it looked and it had no effect on the tire whatsoever, they inspected the tire fully and sent us on our way with a handshake.
I feel as though this Firestone location was attempting to take advantage of my mother-in-law and had we not been there, she would have been fleeced by their scare tactics. Furthermore, they obviously didn't even do the job we brought it in for and just wanted to push the sale. I would stay far away from this place.
