Spectacular Layout but Terribly Managed
This is a great golf course that is very well maintained, which I assume is a contractual obligation for a Nicklaus Signature design. That is where the positives stop unfortunately.
I certainly understand the challenges of keeping a bankrupt project afloat, but 5.5 hour rounds aren't going to keep people coming back. Instead of having 3-4 staff members hanging around the clubhouse, would it be too much to ask to send one onto the golf course to have a look?
This staff can't even manage three hours of tee times on a Sunday morning. The first tee was a free for all, with 4-somes and 2-somes intermixing themselves whenever they chose. With no staff on the golf course, those three hours worth of tee times turned into 5.5 hour rounds. Multiple groups drove past us on the way to the clubhouse, tired of waiting 15 minutes on every tee box.
And furthermore, the club employs the lowest class, most sarcastic and vulgar beverage car attendant I have ever encountered. As if the day wasn't bad enough, meeting her on the 10th tee and listening to her sarcastic shtick was icing on the cake.
I love the golf course, but can't see myself going back. Nicklaus himself would be ashamed if he saw the horrible experience these people are providing at his golf course.
