| - Yep, I get my hairs cut at the Barber College.
It's a bit of a crap-shoot, because if you don't have a regular guy you don't know who's further along in their training, who's better at fades, etc.
That said...it's insanely inexpensive and convenient...on my no-car days, it's still easy to stop in and get to school on time. It's a block from the Rapid at 25th and directly on about 20 buses that get you downtown.
But get this: Go on a Tuesday, and it's free hot-lather shave day. An actual shave + a haircut (two bits!) costs only $4. I usually hand them an additional fiver, and they're stoked. Given the price of the services, they get a lot of broke-ass folks in here. So, the extra money is very appreciated.
*JUST MAKE SURE THAT THEIR RAZOR IS SHARP BEFORE THEY START!*
But in reality, it'd be worth it to pay ten bucks just to sit there for an hour and listen to the conversations. It's a freaking riot.
I had some dude with white hair explaining to me the other day how I was wrong to go here. That may be.
But...he probably spent $75, and looks utterly ridiculous.
I look absolutely fine, neatly trimmed and aligned in the back, and paid $4.
