My wife and I were in town for a long weekend. Since we were seeing Penn and Teller at the Rio on Saturday night, VooDoo Steakhouse was an obvious choice. In a nutshell, it was average at best. The food was good, the service was ok, and the overall experience didn't justify the cost. My wife and I eat out frequently and aren't afraid to pay a premium for a premium experience. Gordon Ramsey Steak is a premium experience; VooDoo Steak is an OK experience. Several Yelp reviewers were impressed that they were invited to go upstairs and check out the view from VooDoo lounge while their dinner was being prepared. We had to ask our server if this would be OK, and after we declined dessert, he was pretty much through with us, but said we could if we wanted to. Was it special? No. Was it awful? No. Would we go back? Probably not as there are too many other options in Las Vegas to be explored.
