  • I needed a dentist when I moved to Arizona. I researched dentists in my area and found Dr. Parsanko. I was very impressed with his many great reviews and was extremely impressed when I met him. He seriously was probably the best dentist that I have ever had. I was very sad to hear about him retiring and was a little scared how the rest of my appointments would go. The first one I had, I met the new crew and was not totally impressed. But I have been going to Sonoran Desert Dentistry for a while so I decided to continue. Horrible decision on my part. My last cleaning was a nightmare! The hygienist was very nice, however, I don't think she was qualified to clean teeth. I have a permanent retainer on the back of my bottom teeth and there is a glue on the retainer so it doesn't feel sharp on my tongue. The whole point of the glue/cement is so that you don't feel the retainer. Well the hygienist took off the glue because she didn't realize it was supposed to be there. She just kept scraping it off with her tool. When I realized what she was scraping I freaked out and told her to stop taking it off because now I can feel the wire! She called Dr. Bauer over and she told me that it's normal for the glue to come off over time. Well I have had this retainer in my mouth for over 9 years and it never came off. Plus the glue/cement is still on in 3 other places. It was the hygienist that took it off! I was really pissed off at this point and let her finish and then left. After further examination of me teeth when I got home, I realized that the hygienist nicked one of my teeth on the front surface and took out a filling that Dr. Parsanko filled two years prior! So now I was furious. I made the necessary appointments to get everything fixed. Dr. Bauer did an okay job fixing my filling/ reapplying the glue/ and smoothing out the nick in my tooth. Well, I knew that I should not have gone back. Less than 3 weeks later the glue/cement broke off. So I called yet again to explain my frustration. I told them that I was having major surgery the next day and won't be able to get back in until a few months. So I call today to try to get it fixed but what really gets me is that they want to charge to fix the mistake that they made. I am sorry but I am not comfortable with that. How could it first last for over 9 years and now not even last over 3 weeks. And they won't stand behind it. I am sorry but that is just poor principle. I will never be back. Other readers should be careful. Sonoran Desert Dentistry is not what it once was. It's really a shame!
