| - I will begin by saying that I was enrolling using a Groupon.
My enrollment was an awful experience. Initially the experience went well with the man who was helping me, and showing me around was very nice and chatty. However, when he brought up extending my membership beyond the 2 months of the Groupon, I explained that, in spite of any cost benefit, I would prefer to wait until the end of my trial period to decide.
I suppose that my initial no was not sufficient enough, so the man I was speaking with told me he would be right back and came back with a man named Dano. This man was clearly intended to be their hard sell, because he insisted that they could beat that rate. I insisted that regardless, I wanted to make my decision at the end of the trial.
Dano was getting very frustrated with me and became quite short. I was also getting frustrated because I was not appreciating the treatment. When Dano became exasperated got up and said to the other sales person "I guess I'm just beating a dead tree".
I was under the impression that Groupon was intended to foster new business, but I guess they try to achieve that by insulting their new customers. Whether or not there was a chance I would enroll beyond the 2 months, there is NO will that will happen now.
Also, you probably shouldn't trust them with your credit card number.
