Going to the CNE is an annual tradition, and this is (I think) the 10th year that I've gone in a row. This year, we attended one of the free concerts, my loveable Walk Off the Earth. And they rocked it. And we rocked with them, in the rain.
In my every day life, I try to eat healthy. Sure, there are some visits to the pub every now and then where someone forces me to drink alcoholic beverages. There may be other visits to restaurants (solely for the purpose of being able to Yelp to help my fellow Torontonians I assure you. I receive no pleasure from eating! Nope...none... at all...)
For the most part, I watch what I eat... (as it's going into my mouth...)
All bets are off when it comes to the CNE. For that one day, the moment I walk into that Food Building, there is no calorie counting. No gluten free restrictions. I eat what I want. This year it was sweet potato fries drenched in Nutella. Yummy.
There is also the mandatory bag of candy floss and a candy apple that needs to be purchased before taking the TTC home. It's practically law.
See you next year!
