| - I have such mixed feelings about this place. My first experience was shortly after it opened and while the food was decent, the service was just, for lack of a better word, weird. Our server was overbearing at times, staying at our table for an awkwardly extended period of time. Impossible to track down at other times.
Didn't go back for awhile, but have recently visited a few times for various reasons.
My first praise is the tap beer selection & seemingly well-educated bar staff. Unfortunately this knowledge doesn't necessarily transfer over to the service staff. While some are very friendly, they don't seem to know much about the menu items. And with very vague menu descriptions, you may just be surprised with what you get. I'm all about putting a different spin on traditional items, but it's almost as if they're afraid to advertise their adventurous takes on dishes, given the bare bones descriptions.
Overall, I feel the food and service are both hit or miss. We've had both good & bad experiences, been surprised (the mussels were surprisingly great) been disappointed (their "specialty" martinis & cocktails are generally just a bunch of juice without the slightest taste of booze for around $7 a glass). We'll probably go back because it's close & there aren't many options in the area, but not because it's exceptional.
