rev:text	VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM, which is part of Alliant Energy Center, was formerly called Dane County Coliseum. The name change occurred in the year 2000. The Center also includes an exhibition hall. The property is still owned by Dane County. On the plus side, the Coliseum is conveniently located near Route 18, about 2 miles from downtown Madison, and about 4 miles from I-90. I lived in Madison for four years, and during this time went to the Coliseum and Exhibition hall on a few occasions. Once, I went to see the circus. Another time, I went to see the annual mink exhibition. At the mink exhibition, I admired the various colors of the minks on display. For some reason, one of the judges (dressed in a white lab coat) blew into one of the cages, in order to acquire a reaction from the animal. (I thought that this was an odd thing to do, but it is not any reason to complain.) Also, I served as a photographer during a convention of folk dancers. One of the folk dancing groups at this convention was the Kickapoo Cloggers, led by Mr. Bill Kreamer. You can see some of the photos, which I have attached here. In the photographs, you can see the many people in the audience, and you can also see other folk dance groups in the background, waiting for their turn to perform. Also, you can see the elements of various dance routines, and each element has a name, such as "big kick," " "dips and dives," "star" (involves 4 dancers, all of which join hands at center), "allemande," "leprechaun bounce," and "East Tennessee Walk."
