Awesome.
I haven't had decent barbecue in, well maybe years. The service was fantastic. Immediately seated, our waiter was attentive but not smothering, always coming back for refills.
The complementary cornbread is such a wonderful treat. While not the best cornbread I've ever had it certainly was welcome after a long day. It was light and crumbly and delightful.
I decided to go all out and order a full rack of baby back ribs. Even though my waiter forgot to give me a steak knife I didn't really need it. Now I realize that falling off the ribs does not make good barbecue, but it certainly helps. These were tender and succulent, the sauce was not slopped on and complimented the taste of the meat.
I got sides of mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The potatoes were average, nothing special. The mac was buttery and cheesy as it should be.
It made a wonderful lunch the next day. The next time I feel like treating myself I'll make my way up here again.
