  • UPDATE: I am leaving my original review below, so if you are interested you can see why I originally gave this company one star. About a week after writing my review, Ashlie, the director of customer service for Bulwark, showed up at my house with flowers, a giftcard to treat me and my boyfriend to dinner, and a wholehearted apology. She told me that she had listened to the phone call we had and was in shock that one of their employees would accuse us of what he did. She wanted to make sure that we didnt have any more scorpions, so she offered us a complimentary scorpion sealing (which is up to an $800 cost) to make up for the service we had. We had the scorpion sealing done today, and it was done really well and very thoroughly. The branch manager and another employee were outside in the sun sealing up every crack in the foundation of our house for upwards of six hours, and then finished the job with a good spray of their pesticides. I really think this company went above and beyond to make things right after a not so great experience. I've changed my review from one star to four because I never expected anything to come of writing a bad review on Yelp, but its nice to know that the company is paying attention and is doing everything it can to make things right. It's really impressive, and very much appreciated. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I started using Bulwark a month ago due to finding some scorpions in my house. I have lived in Arizona for upwards of 16 years and had never had a problem, so when I moved into my new house and found some you can imagine how irritated I was! I saw the good reviews for Bulwark and decided to try them out. During the initial service, I was given a contract to sign for a year of monthly service, which I was never told about over the phone so I was sort of hesitant, as I probably wouldn't have signed up had I known it included a contract. After buying a black light and using it around my house and finding 4 more scorpions, I decide that this company wasnt going work out, and called to cancel. I had my boyfriend who lives with me call, and he was transferred to a supervisor who accused him of being a door-to-door salesman who was trying to sway me to another company. Honestly, I coudn't make this up- the guy assumed someone had come to my door, and asked to call my exterminator company and pretend to be my boyfriend. I was incredibly insulted and shocked that a supervisor of a company would deal with a customer service issue in such a condescending way. That alone is enough to keep me from ever recommending this company.
