A hard place to review because I liked the food but I don't know if I want to come back.
First, the service was great. The waiters explained the menu in detail and took their time, answered our questions. The dessert menu is not in English, and the waiter explained the entire menu for us.
The fish soup was flavorful. It was kind of like lobster bisque just rougher in texture and less creamy (hence the soup, not bisque). The stale bread crusted with dry melted cheese it came with actually paired pretty well.
The raviolis and quail with wild rice I think had the same sauce (veal stock), which was nice. Just wish we didn't get both because it just seemed repetitive. Raviolis, if five of them were stacked, I would have loved it but then it wouldn't be a ravioli.
Quail was cooked so nicely. Both the leg and breast were tender and juicy, and the wild rice added interesting firm texture to each bite.
The floating island dessert - We didn't like it at all. An interesting looking dessert with boring taste. It was just sweet. It just tasted like candy. Ate one third of it and wanted to say something.
So overall, we had a pretty good meal with great service with some standouts and some fallouts. But for the price, I could have had a better meal. A solid 3.5 stars.
