  • So it's Spring and time for "Spring Cleaning" before it gets too hot out to leave the windows open for carpet cleaning to dry. I had my master bedroom carpeting cleaned and my kitchen ceramic tile grout cleaned. The cleaner (Joseph) called before coming to let me know he was on his way (had an out of state caller ID, I almost didn't pick up), arrived at the appointment time, did a good job cleaning, and was very polite. I paid cash for the cleaning since credit card was a $3 additional fee. He emailed me a paid receipt and invoice PDF from his smartphone immediately. That made me feel comfortable that Carpet Monkeys is a company that is properly reporting income, paying their taxes and not doing anything under the table. To go off on a tangent for a minute, I always felt uncomfortable whenever I took taxi cabs for work travel and the driver would give me a blank receipt and tell me to fill in whatever I wanted. Once Uber came along, I never took another cab because it felt scammy. Anyway, back to the review. They even had "MONKEYS" as a personalized "vanity" license plate on the carpet cleaning van. i would get that plate if it was available, just because i like monkeys. anyway, I will keep them in mind for next time I need the grout cleaned. looks so much better. I tried cleaning grout by hand once and gave up and it wasn't anywhere as clean as what he did. will use again.
