We suddenly found ourselves hungry while doing the rounds at the Venetian. After getting rebuffed by Delmonico and CUT, we were easily able to secure a table for two spontaneously at Sushi Samba.
In the end, we racked up a bill of $215 for two people. If I could do things over, I would stick to the basics rather than venturing off into the more exotic offerings. The salmon avocado roll, at a cost of $6.50, was by far better than the vastly more expensive offerings served at Sushi Samba.
In fact, I grew so tired of the rock shrimp tempura and the yellowtail jalapeƱo that I threw in the towel and started ordering basic rolls - the latter of which I loved. For sushi at the high end, I would recommend Nobu or Japonais.
