I came here for the free pet adoption day and found the experience to be exasperating. Never again! I waited in line in the hot sun until they opened, and then stood in another line to meet and greet the dog. Just to find out that there's no guarantee that you get to adopt the dog of your choice because you get another number for a raffle. Then you find out after three weeks if you get the dog or not because other people are possibly trying to adopt the pet you want. Lots of big dogs that nobody wants. Most of them were chihuahua mixed and pit bulls. There was one particular breed that I wanted. A small border terrier because he looked like Falcor from Never Ending Story, but some old broad wanted him too. I didn't want to stand in line to get another freaking number just to get a raffle, so I just left without adopting one. Needless to say, I was less than amused! Kudos to those volunteers that put up with the crowd. They seemed stressed.
