| - There is ice cream and there is Sarris. For normal ice cream days, the neighborhood ice cream parlor will do but when the heart wants Sarris, there's just one place.. The 15 mile drive down to this little family owned business is like the journey to Oz. My mind is always heady with anticipation for the entire time that it takes to get there and by the time I park and join the line (there's almost always a line) to order my ice cream sundae, my eyes are almost always bigger than my stomach. I almost always end up with their biggest sundae, I always lose the battle of me vs. giant 3 scoop sugar and cream exploration, ask for a lid and bring it back home with me and enjoy over the next few days.. until the heart wants Sarris again. I don't wish they were closer. I love the anticipation, the drive down the familiar long windy roads and the ritual. Their ice cream is the best.. but Sarris, really is for the child in you. Their store, their candy, their decorations, the delightful red booths, the giant ice creams, their super reasonable prices (on ice cream! The chocolates are a tad bit pricey), the soft toys.. it's all just a big wonderland for the child that constantly lives in my heart.
Oh dear.. my heart wants Sarris..... road trip time! Wohoo!
