  • So since my last update i've moved out of the place but i thought i'd give an update on my feelings of the joint. 1) They're old so things are bound to be creaky, fragile, not as well insulated as other newer buildings. The homes were built in the 70's so it's been some time. They do have maintenance and all that but old homes are still old homes. For instance my apartments were fine, but i had a neighbor in another building who was having issues because a root grew into a pipe and they didnt get water for like ... 2 weeks? Because the office took forever on them. Maintenance is great for small issues like "My garbage disposal is stuck" but for bigger ticket items like "the dishwasher is busted completely" they'll definitly take some time to react. 2) Quality of the area. This area isnt exactly as nice as summerlin and newer built places. And the neighborhood can be a little bit..... lets be real it can be kind of ghetto. I've heard of about twice a year peoples cars will get broken into on occasion. I had a roomate with a soft top convertable and his got slashed and broken into twice. while living there over 2 years. 3) I love the park and running track inside. Honestly i was at my best physically because i loved having a little grassy area and park to hang out and feel comfy on or go running. And the different pools were decently maintained and the area was kept pretty clean i think. 4) Price while i was there was cheaper. Though i believe they raised the rent all around after the park across the street on trop and decatur was built. Overall I enjoyed my stay there for the 3 years there I personally have never had any issues and i had some good neighbors but that said, I've definitly heard a few horror stories while there. But what place doesn't have any? I'm a 6'9 guy so safety wasnt as big of a concern in my book and it's not like i walked around everywhere looking vulnerable.
