I paid and booked my car rental online (where I made sure to opt out of all insurance/road side assistance). I even filled out my drivers license information to speed up the process when I arrived at Phoenix. The man at the counter asked if I would like insurance/road side assistance, which I declined. He then proceeded to tell me to sign on the circled spots, which I did without reading the fine print (my fault completely). Between being distracted from talking to my family I was with and the guy small talking us, I didn't even question to read every detail (again my fault). When I called customer service after my car was returned, they said they could only return half of the money because "you signed it and you should of read the fine print!" I will say the people working were very nice, but don't trust where they circle and take the extra time to read all of the documents. I'll take it as a frustrating lesson learned!
