Bait and switch!!!
I went to purchase an appropriate wine for a home-made zesty Italian dinner and received a recommendation for a mid-priced red wine. I was told that that particular wine would be have a 20% discount at the register. I waited in line at the check out line and when the wine was
rung up I asked if a 20% discount applied to the purchase. The man at the check out counter said that to get the discount I would have to go over to the customer service line and process a refund request.
I don't think so.
Rather than waste my time in another line I now will shop for wine at any other store but Total Wine. I will relay my negative customer service experience to any and all at social gatherings until I am confident that I have cost Total Wine a minimum of 20 times the discount that they switched from my purchase.
