Let me start by saying that I love locally owned restaurants. I would much rather give my hard earned dollar to a mom and pop restaurant than a large national chain. However, after our multiple disappointments and frustrations with our visits and delivery orders, my wife and I are done with the Spot.
The food is overpriced for what it is, but when the planets perfectly align you can get a good meal. The problem is that every order is gamble and too often we have lost.
Portions, consistency, flavor and customer service are spotty at best. Of the 6 or so delivery orders we have made only 1 has been error or hassle free. Food has been delivered cold, with extremely small portions and consistently missing ordered items or food that was not remotely close to what we ordered. We have placed lunchtime orders, then received a call indicating that they had run out of meat and would have to come in to receive our refund.
I can live with the terribly cramped dinning area and understand that everyone has a bad day, but the complete lack of professional customer service is mind blowing! They make customers feel responsible for their error and make it clear that it is an inconvenience for them to rectify mistakes.
I hate leaving negative reviews but after giving the Spot so many chances, I do not feel as if they values my patronage. And honestly, they don't appear to value their business much either.
