I visited Stoughton Hospital's urgent care for an injury to my hand. I hate to sound harsh, but I do not feel that the urgent care physician, Dr. Diebold, was helpful at all. He looked at my swollen finger, then looked up at me and asked me if I should get an x-ray. I have absolutely no medical training. My response was that I didn't know, and my visit to urgent care was to discuss antibiotics and a tetanus shot since the injury was an animal bite.
If the urgent care physician would have ordered an x-ray, he would have found a fractured thumb bone as well as a broken-off bone fragment.
On a positive note, the nurse was fantastic, and the overall experience in/out of the hospital was a very smooth process.
