| - I am not typically one to write reviews on department stores such as Boston Store, or any major chain store in general, however, I wanted to point out something very cool that Boston Store has started doing.
I was in the store last October and noticed a section of "close to home" products on display. It was a little area that contained all Wisconsin-made, Wisconsin-themed goods and crafts. I guess not ALL Wisco themed, but a lot of it was. I thought it was pretty cool, browsed a bit and was on my way.
I was back at the mall a couple nights ago (really, a dreaded place for me, I avoid it most often) trying to finish up some last minute Christmas shopping. After wandering around aimlessly, I remembered this Wisconsin area and headed over to Boston Store in hopes that this was still a thing.
By golly it was still there, and more stocked than the last visit! I was able to find what I was looking for, plus a couple other fun items to give as gifts as well. All the different artists/artisans of the products had a little bio up as well so you could read about where the stuff was coming from, which was a very nice personal touch in such a big-box atmosphere.
So basically, what I am getting at is - unexpected, cool, local products are beings featured at Boston Store, and that's something I can totally get behind. Go check it out!
