rev:text	A friend recommended I take my 3 year old dog here for a bath and grooming. I was surprised that it was going to take 3 hours but they assured me that they would try to get my dog done quicker because she has anxiety issues. After I showed up 3 hours later, I was told it would take another hour or so. They were not done with my dog until after 4 hours and 15 minutes!!! After I got home my dog was having separation anxiety, was acting clingy and her IBS flared up the next day (diarrhea and vomiting) and she had to go on medications for the next 2 weeks. On the fourth or fifth day after her bath I noticed "scabby" stuff on her skin and over the next day it spread all over her neck and back. I called Applewood and told them that she had these lesions that I initially thought were traumatic. The manager showed no concern whatsoever and just flatly denied that they had anything to do with her issues. The manager said that he would talk to the groomer but that was it. No concern for the health of my dog whatsoever!!! I expected that they would at least show some concern and have their vet see the dog to see what was going on. NOPE!!! They could care less about the health and safety of my dog. I took my dog to her regular vet and she was diagnosed with bacterial folliculitis and had to be put on antibiotics. We have no doubt that she was infected at Applewood since the lesions started appearing a few days after she was bathed here. After excellent treatment by her regular vet my dog is doing well but I will NEVER take my dog here again. I understand freaky things can happen but to show no concern for the health and safety of their patients is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
