If you don't like rowdy, this isn't the place for you. We waited an hour on a Saturday evening, which we expected so it wasn't a big deal. When moving to our seats we squeezed through a tight hallway past numerous staff and customers wandering around with beers. It was -loud- but fun loud. I ordered a Hefeweizen to drink and was very satisfied - easily one of the tastiest beers I've ever had. It had a light fruity aftertaste which I loved.
We got the works sampler for an appetizer and everything on it was A+. The bier cheese was sooooo good, and I didn't want to share any of the potato pancakes. We also ordered the pierogie which came on a bed of fried cabbage with bacon and loaded with chives and onion tanglers and was amazing. For my entree I got the Wurstplatte; all three sausages were delicious, and the mashed potatoes and sauerkraut were perfect accompaniment. Best kraut I've ever had by a long shot.
Service was upbeat and attentive, definitely a great experience.
