| - I went to Nikko this past weekend for a friend's birthday, after maybe three or four years since my last visit. We had reservations at 8:30 and were seated once our whole party arrived. One we were seated the owner greeted us with a little singing and dancing, and a toast (even though we only had water at this time) to the birthday girl! It was great to see the owner has not lost her touch, still in her cowboy hat walking around, dancing and having fun with her customers.
After ordering our drinks, we started with a variety of appetizers, gyoza, dumplings, calamari, and some others that everyone seemed to enjoy. As for entrees, everyone ordered a variety of sushi rolls and I got some the tuna roll and nigiri, which was a generous portion and very fresh fish. I will say the rolls came in 6 pieces where typically you receive 8. However, I was still full from what I ordered.
The drinks were great and the service was on point, filling waters and cocktails and addressing any needs we needed.
We had a party of 10 and all were splitting our bills, yes, we were that group. However, there were no issues with the waiter and everyone's bills were on point.
Overall, I was happy to see things haven't changed at Nikko and love the atmosphere, music and overall environment especially for a get together like a birthday or fun night out.
