Be warned: new ownership.
Veronica has retired and the new owners have buried the long-standing home of Golden Scissors and turned it into yet another "everything" salon where they offer a whole bunch of different services, but are specialists at none.
There are about two mani/pedi stations which they have crammed in the middle hallway area and are serviced by less than qualified technicians. The supplies are low grade and a bit sloppy and unprofessional.
They also offer a bunch of other random services: waxing, eyelash, microblading (to come), facial, and eyebrow threading (this will only last as long as Esther stays imo as I am confident her long-term customers will follow her if she leaves)....the list goes on.
Since this is not just a 'nail salon' or not just a 'hairdresser', don't expect good results. It's too small and they are trying to offer way too many different services so they can't focus and specialize in what they do.
Also not keen on the new owner or her husband. On my last visit for my eyebrows with Esther they were cold and unwelcoming.
It's a shame cus Golden Scissors was a landmark for many and I have been going for over 15 years. I wish they had just kept it as it was instead of transforming it into some gaudy crammed money grab
Won't be back. RIP Golden Scissors.
