  • Delicious indulgent Hawaiian style ice cream with a patient lady running the whole shop! Just arrived in Vegas for my friend's birthday and her family took us out for lunch across the way at Aloha Specialties (HUGE portions over there FYI for decent prices). What next? Ice cream! I sampled both Kauai Pie and traditional Japanese Green Tea. Ah, I can get green tea anywhere so Kauai won me over with its smooth coffee ice cream, chocolate fudge ripple, and buttery macadamia nuts. It also has dried coconut laced throughout which I didn't care for but made me feel like I was in the tropics. Gigantic single? scoop serving in a freshly made waffle cone! OMG so good! The waffle itself was nice and crisp with a distinct flavor. Definitely felt like a kid licking my ice cream cone walking though the casino downstairs. Friends ordered Kona coffee cones and chocolate shakes. Traditional Hawaiian shaved ice is available. They serve more than frozen treats. I saw hot dogs, sushi, and spam musubi on the menu, as well as doughnuts and bread/pastries. Stop by for a scoop or two!
