  • I met a girlfriend for dinner at Tides last night. We sat at the bar. We were immediately served warm sourdough bread. We started with a dozen New York Oysters for $17.95. They were so fresh and tasty. I like a little lemon juice and a splash of hot sauce on it. We had a Kendal Jackson Chardonnay to go along with it. Then we got the AYCE Crab Legs for $30. The crab legs came out in a large bowl, already cut, steaming hot with a piece of corn and a potato and melted butter. The only thing missing was a bib. Haha. We enjoyed our crab so much that we each got another round. I didn't realize that dessert came with it too! We were served Bananas Foster for dessert. I could only eat 1/2 of mine by that point. Denise was our server and she was so attentive to see if we needed anything, refills on drinks, wine, food, whatever we wanted. She even brought us more corn. We had plenty of wet wipes for our hands to clean up and extra napkins. The manager and the chef both came out at different times to check on our experience. Our empty plates and our big smiles told the story. I can't believe we've never come to this restaurant before, it was such a great experience. I am looking forward to the next visit soon! Great place to meet up with a friend!
