| - Finally spent a couple nights here! The service, as I mentioned before, is amazing. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we our personal bellman who even escorted us to our room pointing out important features along that way. For example, you have to hold your room key in front of the elevator control to go to your floor. Great security! The front desk doubles as your concierge and you call them for everything include valet pick up.
The rooms are really nice as you can see by everyone's pictures. I should tell you the alcohol in the mini bar isn't your little airplane samples, but substantial size for you to party in your room without running out. I assume if you did, they would gladly bring you another bottle.
2 things that kind of made me not give 5 stars. First, there's not desk in the room. They have a small makeup table, but not deep enough for a laptop. Second, you have to ask the front desk when you want ice because it's in a locked housekeeping closest. While it's a nice touch, and they do refill it as part of the turn down service so it's full when you get back to your room, kind of annoying for people like me who are independent. Then you feel like you need to tip just for ice. If you want a quick bite, you have to go the Flamingo or Bally's across the street. Not a bad thing as the Cromwell is so small I'm not sure where they would put a quick service restaurant. Also, no tub, just a shower.
And speaking of the shower, before you turn it on, look up. If you think you're just turning on the handheld shower, you're in for a cold surprise.
Again, the location of the hotel/casino can't be beat. The dealers are super friendly and supervisors go out their way to make sure you are satisfied. Keep up the good work Cromwell!
