  • I had super high hopes for this place as it has been on my 'try' list for awhile and I know a lot of people that love it. I feel like overall it was a pretty good experience minus a few minor details (gave it 4 stars but it's more like 3.5). I like the ambiance. The patio is super cool, cozy and large at the same time, with a very cool fireplace. As far as food, everything we had was fairly tasty-the best items being the Crispy Fingerling Potatoes and the Pumpkin Soup (outstanding). We happened to be there at happy hour and they've recently changed their menu a bit and it's a little limited at HH time. We also tried the Moroccan Meatballs which were ok, lacking some flavor (I make them at home and mine are better) and could've used a little salt. I had a glass of their house made sangria which wasn't that great. It had no fruit. It wasn't sweet at all. I don't like sweet 'wines' but I was craving sangria which is usually sweeter. Perhaps it would taste better on a hot day. It's very cool that kids eat free. However, the offerings aren't super kid friendly, in my opinion. Personally, I am anti kid-meal and my kiddos typically split a pasta that is on the regular menu (or something similar). Well, that's not an option here so we ordered the hamburger and the baked pasta off the kiddie menu for them. The burger was huge but the bun was massive and hard to eat (fries were yummy though), and the pasta wasn't good at all. It's a pearl pasta so it is a weird texture (my kids are foodies but they didn't like it) and the sauce didn't have much flavor. So, while I appreciate the thought, perhaps the kids meals could be slightly more tailored to kid's tastes. I know I shouldn't complain about something free, and as mentioned I am not wanting boxed mac n cheese but a couple other simple choices would be nice. Only other slight complaint is the service was super slow. It was HH and not busy at all so I'm not sure if everyone was just in a super chill-ax'ing mood or what, but it took forever to place our order! All in all, I would return because there are a couple other menu items I would like to try but I'm not in any rush.
