| - This facility has the worst possible business ethics I've ever seen. Not only is it completely overpriced for the very low amount of maintenance, (even prior to moving in to a new unit) but the staff themselves are all completely incompetent to even be able to work on the side of a street selling newspapers (and that's about all this place should be allowed to do!)
I don't live here, and I never would. I strongly advise against it if you take your safety seriously. My friend has been lied to and led to believe the opposite of just about everything they've ever told her from day one. Most recently, her lock stopped working on the town home (something that shouldn't be happening less than a month after move in, especially with the promised "thorough inspection".)
The emergency maintenance line was called, since no one was in the office or answering the office land line (on a day with regular posted hours!) On the emergency call, we didn't get a call back for 2 hrs. Maintenance promised to be over within the hour, but to EXPECT A CALL FIRST. We stayed in the are, knowing we wouldn't want anyone near or inside the home without one of us there. 4 hrs layer we received a call saying "it's not pretty but it's been done". Been done? We were supposed to receive a call! We get home and the door frame, door, and locks are damaged beyond any safety standards. The door is even harder to close or lock or shut. And now, it's even easier to break into than before! This home also faces a busy street (although upon move in they were promised it was "quiet and not many cars pass by") any passers-by by, the neighbors and even the maintenance man none of us has ever met now know how to get into my friend's home.
This was brought to the attention of a manager and even with all the safety, and contract concerns, my friend was promised a call on Monday to fix the solution. No call. No concern. No help.
STAY OUT OF VERANO IF YOU WANT TO BE SECURE AND SAFE!!!!
