  • I ventured into Planet Smoothie because Juice Box CafĂ© is closed for renovations at the moment. Interior is very simple and clean. They have a digital TV that offers smoothie flavors and recipes, and Fro-Yo machines to the left where you can fill up. The only gripe I had about the menu is that everything had dairy in it, so I ordered the only thing on the menu without a cow - the Acai berry smoothie. However, they do use fresh ingredients (except for the frozen Acai) and not too many sugary syrups. However, what REALLY earned them points was that they agreed to mix my Greenberry Shakeology packet into the smoothie for me. I love my Shakeology because its a full meal replacement in a little packet that has protein, pro-biotics, vitamins, enzymes, EVERYTHING; and Starbucks usually doesn't like to play nice with adding shots, powders, or mix-ins you may have brought (claiming ridiculous things like it may cause "food allergies" in other people; which is true if you don't wash your equipment after every blended drink!). Super props to an understanding franchise and staff!! Smoothies, by themselves, usually don't fill me up; but knowing that they will willingly mix-in my Shakeology powder will definitely keep me going back when I'm on the go! Plus - I can't deny the convenience of it being in walking distance! Yay for more Smoothie and Juice shops!
