  • If you want the short version, here is my advice to you: If you choose to do business with Brasso Nissan, stay far far away from Myles Nordlund as a "Sales Consultant", and Shawn Fennel, the Financial Services "Manager". (Please take my quotation marks for its literal meaning... Their titles and the way each of them perform their "roles" is an actual joke.) Here is the long version: I am absolutely furious and livid with my experience with Brasso Nissan. My experience with this "dealership" is as follows: (This is going to be super detailed with dates so you can understand the timeline that I had to deal with.) December 29th: I had gone to their website and saw a 2008 Smart Car for sale on their lot. I was super interested, and expressed interest on their online form to be contacted with more information. December 31st: I went in to see the car. I checked in with reception, and soon came out Myles. He sat me at his cubicle and mentioned that he was currently with another client. I had no problems waiting, this was all I had to do on that day. He returned 10 minutes later, and said: "Ok! I have the car waiting for you outside. It's warmed up. Go for a test drive, and tell me what you think." I told him that before I even went that far, I actually want to know about the car. (I.E. See the carproof, inspection, specs, etc.) He got a bit upset when I said that I wanted to see those documents... He digged through his desk, and threw the papers in front of me. "Out of courtesy" he RAPIDLY paged through each document showing me everything with the car was supposedly ok. Then he finished with "Ready to test drive the car?" Mind you, I had not even had a chance to look at the documents myself... So fast track to after taking a look at the documents... I felt comfortable test driving the car. I did, and it was a good drive. I wanted to schedule a secondary inspection with Mercedes, so that way they could take a closer look at the car. When I told him that, he assured me that everything was looked after for the car, and that their technicians are top notch, yada yada, yada.... After our chat, he directed me over to Shawn Fennel, Financial Services Manager to talk over financing, etc. I explained to Shawn that I wanted to wait until after the inspection to talk about finances. January 3: I called to speak with Myles, to tell him that I had scheduled an inspection for January 5th. He told me that was fine, and that he would see me then. January 5: The inspection was scheduled for 9:30AM, and I swung by just around 9AM to pick up the car. He totally forgot, and again seemed like I was burdening him because he had to get someone to fetch the car, etc. I always give people the benefit of the doubt, but yet again Myles was being a complete a**hole about this. Around 9:30AM the car finally came around. I was told that they had trouble starting up the car and it had to be jumped. Myles assured me that it was only the battery with the problem, and that to just have Mercedes take a closer look at that. So off I went towards Hyatt Mercedes! (They were really great!!! I'll be posting a review about them soon.) It was snowing quite heavily the day before, so the roads were icy. The Mercedes was probably about a 20 minute drive away. IT WAS THE WORST DRIVE OF MY LIFE. I was fishtailing and sliding everywhere... It was not fun. I asked Mercedes to take a look at that for me. I returned later that day with the car, and everything seemed fine. Nothing major was wrong with the car. The battery and the blower motor had to be replaced. Oh, wait. I forgot one major thing... I was driving the car with 2 good WINTER tires, 1 worn out WINTER tire and wait for it... 1 worn out SUMMER TIRE. That would explain the crappy handling. At this point, I was not a happy camper, because this was a HUGE safety issue.... I seriously was sliding around and fishtailed maybe 40% of the total drive. Does this kinda stuff not get noticed in their inspection? When I had showed the inspection report and told this to Myles, he literally LAUGHED at me... He LAUGHED. ARE YOU KIDDING?! I was so frustrated with that experience. But I was still interested in the car itself, so I said ok, what can we get done? He brought the report to Robert Pendock, Sales Manager, and they snickered at the report like two little school girls at a sleepover. He returned, and said he would get the issues fixed, and call me when it was all done. TO BE CONTINUED... (I ran out of space in this review...
