When my daughter's Gateway laptop stopped charging we thought it was the charger that was the problem. We went through 5 aftermarket chargers only to figure out that it was actually a faulty power jack. My IT guy at work told me that - I was looking at a new motherboard - which really meant a new laptop. I was fortunate to find Techknow Space who advertised that they would repair the laptop within 2 hours - even on a Saturday.
The store doesn't look much from the outside - but the service was very professional and courteous - and they were as good as their word. The laptop was ready within an hour and works perfectly - all for $139.
Both my daughter and I are very happy with my outcome (even though she was secretly hoping that Daddy would buy her a new Macbook).
